Guest Posts
I have several hundred posts in the Peltier Tech Blog. Among these are a dozen or two guest posts.
All guest posts on the Peltier Tech Blog fit into the range of topics on the blog: programming, charting, Excel. These guest posts are written by colleagues of mine who share technical interest with me and my readership. Almost all guest posts came about because I asked a colleague to write something for me, a few because a colleague asked me if they could write something.
There are hundreds of people writing content for the internet. I get several offers a week from people who want to write articles for my blog. Not a single one has ever offered me any topic that is even remotely related to the topics found on this blog. Sometimes the topics are technical in nature, but they are never about charting or programming in Excel. Sometimes the offer includes some infographic that somebody obviously spent a lot of time on, but it’s not of a relevant topic, nor does it usually follow good practices. Maybe I could use one as the “before” half of an article, but I don’t really have the time or patience.
To everyone who wishes to contribute to my blog: read a few of my articles. Do your proposed topics have anything to do with Excel? Do you do data visualization (and not mass market infographic blather)? If not, save yourself the trouble of writing an email and save me the trouble of deleting it.
If you do know a lot about Excel, if you do know a lot about data visualization, then send me an email and introduce yourself. Let’s have a conversation, and then let’s decide if we’ll collaborate.
