Clustered-Stacked Column Chart

Clustered-Stacked Column Charts has been the most visited and most commented page in my blog since I wrote it. The post describes how to arrange data in order to simulate a column chart which both clusters and stacks the data. This chart type is a popular one which is somehow not included in Microsoft Excel’s gallery of chart types.

The protocol required to create clustered-stacked charts is rather tedious, and the data layout is complicated. Because of this, many comments and emails have requested additional help creating these charts.

To answer this call for help, I have written a Cluster Stack Chart utility that allows the user to set up a simpler data range, and through a dialog select the clustering and stacking configuration. The utility inserts a new worksheet, adds a table with the appropriate data arrangement, and then creates and formats a clustered-stacked column chart from this table.

To learn more about the utility or to license it, visit PTS Cluster Stack Utility. Or you can read the Documentation for the PTS Cluster Stack Utility.
