Due to overwhelming response to my articles about creating waterfall charts and to a simple prototype utility I posted, I have built a professional version of the PTS Waterfall Chart Utility. The professional utility (and the related free demo version) have the following features:

I will consider reasonable enhancements to the utility, especially when suggested by users of the professional version. I do not plan to make the utility compatible with Excel 97 or earlier, nor do I plan to extend its compatibility to Mac versions of Excel.
